Betsy brings more than 25 years of Wall Street related experience to the investor relations field. She spent 10 years with Morgen-Walke (MWA) as a partner and managing director, where she specialized in advising companies operating in a broad range of industries including leisure and entertainment, healthcare, retail, consumer products and business services.
Prior to joining Morgen-Walke, Betsy worked for a French investment bank, as well as on the buy-side as an analyst and Associate Director of Research for the Equitable Life Insurance Society of America. Her experience ranges from senior-level strategic advice associated with mergers and acquisitions, to a wide range of critical corporate events from initial public offerings and subsequent capital raisings, to contested situations, restructurings, CEO transitions and other potentially critical communications issues.
Betsy has been honored by the PRSA with the Silver Anvil Award for excellence in investor relations. She holds an MBA in Finance from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BS in Economics and Mathematics from Simmons College.
Lynn MorgenFounding Partnershow
Lynn specializes in advising C-Suite executives and board members on corporate positioning and strategic and investor-related communications. She frequently advises U.S. and international Chairmen and CEOs and is known for her ability to anticipate potential stakeholder issues and develop strategies to address them. One of the most experienced thought leaders in investor relations advisory, Lynn has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and other publications.
Prior to founding MBS, Lynn co-founded the investor relations consulting firm of Morgen-Walke Associates, Inc. (MWA) in 1982. At the time of its sale in 2000 to a private equity firm, MWA was the largest independent firm of its kind headquartered in the U.S. and also had offices in Europe. After the sale of her firm, she served as Group Vice President and member of the Strategic Planning Group at STMicroelectronics N.V., Europe’s largest semiconductor company, listed on the NYSE, Euronext and the Borsa Italiana.
She began her business career as a credit analyst with Dun & Bradstreet in New York and Brussels and then moved to the equity side where she held both research and institutional sales positions at U.S. and European investment firms. She is a graduate of CCNY.
Monique SkruznyFounding Partnershow
Monique brings 25 years of capital markets experience, as a start-up entrepreneur, angel investor, investment banker, advisor and operating executive responsible for raising over $1 billion to her client advisory work. She has spent much of her career in the media, internet and hospitality sectors as well as the emerging markets. She focuses on pre-IPO preparation, capital markets transactions, valuation-related issues and special situations including advising boards and senior management teams on best practices and managing proxy communications and other key events and disclosure issues. Monique works closely with the private equity community on portfolio exit strategy preparation and is passionate about helping entrepreneurs realize their visions.
Monique has held executive positions with responsibility for corporate finance and strategic communications, including investor relations, at AOL. She was the COO and CFO of Melia Am
ericas and took the hospitality real estate company public and was a founding team member and head of business development of one of News Corp.’s satellite television systems. She was a founder of an internet site with categories targeted at women and raised several rounds of funding. She has also worked in project finance at the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation and at James D. Wolfensohn, Inc., where she was an investment banker.
Monique is an Executive Board Director of the Wharton School and spent 7 years as a Director of Pro Mujer, a microfinance organization in Latin America.
Monique received a BA in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Wharton School of Business. She is fluent in Spanish and conversational in Portuguese.
Fabiane Goldstein has almost 20 years of experience working in the financial markets and is an expert on Investor Relations, Corporate Communications, CSR, ESG, GRI, Sustainability Reports and the power of social media in the capital markets communications. She has a background in Marketing and was an Investor Relations manager with a focus on the international market at Unibanco (currently the largest private financial institution in Brazil). In 2002, Goldstein created the Corporate Communications department at MZ Consult, which she managed for 7 years, leaving in 2009 to found Ricca RI, a company focused on Multistakeholder Communications. Since 2012, she is the founding partner of MBS Value Partners Brasil.
Fabiane holds a degree in publicity from ECA-USP and an Executive MBA from the Dom Cabral Foundation (FDC).
Susan BorinelliManaging Directorshow
Susan has more than 20 years’ experience providing strategic investor relations counsel to Latin American and other Emerging Market multinational companies seeking access to U.S. and international capital markets. She provides senior counsel on disclosure, corporate governance issues, financial crisis situations and the latest trends in IR, to corporate management and IR teams. Susan has substantial expertise in communications for initial public offerings, ADR programs and US exchange listings.
Prior to joining MBS, Susan was a Founding Partner and Chief Operating Officer at Breakstone Group. Earlier, Susan was a Senior Vice President at Ludgate Communications and before that was Vice President of Investor Relations and a member of the corporate finance team at Disco S.A., one of Argentina’s leading food retailers and a subsidiary of Netherlands-based Royal Ahold N.V. Prior to Disco, Susan actively participated in the creation and development of the capital markets division of an Argentine investment house. She arranged the issuance of commercial paper, Euronotes and other debt securities by medium and small size Argentine companies in the European and Uruguayan markets and participated in the management due-diligence process for mergers and acquisitions.
Susan received a five-year licentiate degree in Economics from the Catholic University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has taught corporate finance at the Business School of the Catholic University of Buenos Aires and microeconomics at the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires. She is fluent in English and Spanish.close
Katja BuhrerManaging Directorshow
Katja has experience as both a capital markets banker and financial newspaper editor, serving clients by leveraging her strong financial analytical skills and communications background. Katja focuses on small and mid-sized public and private U.S. companies, and has extensive experience connecting Latin American companies with the U.S. investment community.
Katja has worked as a reporter, editor and columnist for Australia’s largest business newspaper, The Australian Financial Review. She has worked in the trading and capital markets at Citigroup and in marketing roles for consulting firms.
She holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Commerce and Arts and Social Sciences from the University of New South Wales and speaks fluent German and conversational French.
Barbara CanoManaging Directorshow
Barbara has extensive experience in public and investor relations with top consultancies in Washington DC, New York and London. She has worked with small, mid and large-cap clients, both in the U.S. and internationally, in a variety of different industries.
Barbara joined MBS from Breakstone Group, where she served as Senior Vice President. Earlier, with Adam Freidman Associates, she managed all aspects of financial communications programs for micro and small-cap clients. Prior to this post, she was part of Citigate Dewe Rogerson London’s European Investor Relations team. Prior to joining Citigate, Barbara was part of Ketchum’s corporate communications team, supporting external communications programs for Fortune 500 and small-cap listed companies through placements in the business media.
Barbara has worked for the American Embassy in Berlin, the Ministry of Foreign Service of Argentina and of Costa Rica and is fluent in German and Spanish. She is a graduate of George Washington University with a BA in International Economics.
Jane has more than a decade of experience as a senior business editor and reporter, serving clients with her strong communications background and financial analytical skills. She has built a network of C-Suite executives throughout the U.S. and Asia-Pacific, with close ties to stakeholders across the financial community.
She has held senior journalism roles in Australia and New York at The Australian Financial Review, Business Review Weekly, The Australian, CNN.com and The Deal. She ran the markets team for The Australian Financial Review and has covered the full spectrum of finance including hedge funds, investment and commercial banking, wealth management and insurance.
Jane won a national award for her M&A reporting in New York and has studied in Europe and Asia, receiving her BA in Communications (Journalism) from the University of Technology, Sydney.
Jon ElsenSenior Counselshow
Jon Elsen, founder and president of Elsen Strategies and a senior advisor to MBS Value Partners, has decades of experience in communications and journalism. As a former editor at The New York Times and The New York Post, he understands what messages resonate with the media, the markets, the public and others.
Jon has been a key strategist during national and international crises, litigation, high-profile executive changes and proxy fights – on both offense and defense. He has provided media and crisis-management training and written op-eds, shareholder letters, and employee memos to both public and private companies.
Previously, Jon was an advisor at Kekst and Company and The Abernathy MacGregor Group, and a long-time journalist.
Jon served as news editor at NYTimes.com and as the media and marketing editor in the Business Section. At The New York Post, he was a reporter and columnist before being named the business editor, a post he held for five years. He was a writer and editor at Investment Dealer’s Digest, where he was nominated to The Journalist & Financial Reporting blue-chip newsroom.
Jon was also a regular contributor to the Fox News Channel, and has appeared on CNBC, CNN, and the Don Imus show. His work has appeared in Vanity Fair and The New York Times Book Review.

Kathleen HeaneySenior Consultantshow
Kathleen, a former equity analyst, has been providing investor relations services to Consumer, Oil & Gas and “Special Situation” companies for the past five years. Her extensive Wall Street background and well established investment community relationships have provided a strong basis for her focus on Initial Public Offerings. She has developed a five-step plan for IPO support starting with initial planning with management and investment bankers for the road show, through building the IR infrastructure, Reg FD and media training and strategy and implementation of post-offering investor relations.
Prior to joining MBS, Kathleen served as a Consultant at Breakstone Group. Earlier, she spent 20 years as a sell-side equity analyst/Director of Research/Supervisory Analyst with Furman Selz, Serfin Securities, BT Alex Brown and Brean Murray. During her Wall Street career, Kathleen’s research coverage focused on branded consumer companies, food & beverage companies and apparel, specialty and food retailers. At various times she provided research coverage on U.S., European and Latin American companies in those industries.
Kathleen has an A.A.S. degree in Criminal Justice, a B.S. degree in Business from Long Island University and attended New York University’s graduate school majoring in International Finance & Economics. Kathleen is a member of NIRI and was a founding member of Women in Energy.
Andrea ManavellaSenior Consultantshow
Andrea has 21 years’ experience in credit risk management and strategic communication, including 15 years with the leading rating agencies, having worked with Fitch Ratings and most recently Moody’s.
She joined MBS from Breakstone Group, where she served as a Senior Consultant providing strategic investor relations counsel and an analytical approach to equity communications. Prior to joining Breakstone, Andrea was a senior credit officer with experience in the analysis and valuation of a variety of capital market instruments. She was the lead analyst for Latin American financial institutions at Moody’s, a member of the New York based credit committee and managed issuer relations in Argentina, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. She had strong relationships with local and international investors and the media as well as experience with regulators. She spent four years running her own risk management consultancy, providing credit risk counseling to banks and corporations. Earlier she was Director of Corporate Finance at Fitch Rating Service responsible for the Corporate Finance area in Argentina and Uruguay and earlier, a Senior Product Analyst at Bank of Boston.
Andrea has a five-year licentiate in Economics from Catholic University in Argentina and a Management Development Program degree from IAE, the Business and Management School of Universidad Austral.

Eric A. Lisa has more than twenty years of business development/investor relations experience with industry leaders in the healthcare sector. Lisa returned to MBS Value Partners after serving two years as Director, Investor Relations and Programming, for the Biotechnology Innovation Organization (BIO). While at MBS in 2013-2014, Lisa worked with clients on strengthening their corporate messaging and achieving their strategic communication goals.
Prior to MBS, Lisa served as Director, Business Development, at a top healthcare investor conference organization, OneMedPlace. She managed communications between company management teams and members of the financial community. Beginning in the 1990’s, Lisa was an award winning sales representative for industry leaders such as Schering-Plough, Endo Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca. One of Lisa’s most recognizable assets is her extensive network in the healthcare financial community. Lisa holds a BA in International Relations from Boston University.
Alex ArzenoMarket Intelligenceshow
Alex joined MBS Value Partners after working as an independent consultant on a variety of investor relations assignments, supporting IR firms and the CEOs and CFOs of small-cap publicly traded companies in developing relationships with both the buy and sell side. Earlier, Alex worked at an asset backed lending hedge fund strengthening the fund’s communications, business development initiatives and strategy. In addition, he has worked in private equity where he focused on marketing.
He holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from IAE – El Austral in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Bucknell University. Alex holds citizenship in both Argentina and the U.S.
Robert GoetzeSenior Associateshow
Robert has a background in financial communications, investor relations and market surveillance and works to support the firm’s domestic and international investor relations clients.
Prior to joining MBS, Robert worked as an investor relations analyst at Luxoft Holding Inc., a Swiss based and NYSE listed IT solutions company. During his time at Luxoft, Robert worked directly with the company’s Vice President of Global Communications, liaised with the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, and other senior management team members in order to strengthen the company’s positioning and perception with both the buy and sell-side interests.
Earlier, Robert worked as a strategic stock surveillance analyst at a boutique consulting firm, Morrow & Company. At Morrow & Company, he was tasked with monitoring the institutional trade flow and shareholder profiles of various clients, consulted clients on activist engagements, and worked with the investor relations teams to ensure the company’s message was accurately communicated.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from Quinnipiac University and is business proficient in German.
Jon has a background in financial reporting, budgeting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A). He works in support of the firm’s U.S. and Latin American investor relations clients.
Jon joined MBS Value Partners after working in the commercial real estate industry in New York. His background includes work primarily in asset management, where he was responsible for reporting to institutional investors along with additional ad-hoc financial analyses.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from The George Washington University.
Viktoriia has a background in investor relations, corporate communications and marketing. Prior to joining MBS, she worked at Capital Link and provided investor relations support to small-cap publicly traded companies in the shipping sector. Earlier, she was an account associate at Grayling’s New York office and worked with various clients in education, government, technology and financial sectors in the Unites States, as well as overseas. Having developed fruitful relationships with top-tier reporters, she secured media coverage with Financial Times, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Los Angeles Times, and more. Viktoriia has also previously worked as a marketing coordinator in the technology sector for Key Digital.
She graduated with master’s degree in Public Relations from Iona College and is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian, and intermediate in Spanish.
Shoshana draws on her background in financial analysis, communications, and clinical research, to aid clients in carving out and executing on their investor strategies.
Having joined MBS from the sell side, Shoshana most recently worked as an associate on Stifel’s Life Science Tools & Diagnostics Equity Research team. Prior to that, she worked on Stifel’s Medical Technology Equity Research team.
Shoshana has served in a clinical research capacity at numerous institutions, including the Kravis Children’s Hospital at Mount Sinai, the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center, and the Byrd Alzheimer’s Institute.
She received a BA from Loyola University, New Orleans, in Latin American Studies. She speaks conversational Spanish and is an experienced classical pianist.
